Southern Firearms Training, LLC is established in Hattiesburg, MS and offers a dynamic variety of firearm training courses from beginner to advanced, that are held on a monthly basis. These courses incorporate everything you need to be prepared to defend yourself, your home, your loved ones, and others who are in danger. We offer comprehensive firearms training that will teach you practical shooting techniques and important gun safety.

Southern Firearms Training, LLC, is owned and operated by Instructor Jim Aust, of Hattiesburg, MS.
Jim is a prior service Marine and currently a Special Agent with the Mississippi Department of Revenue. He is a certified Concealed Carry Instructor for the State of Mississippi.
He is a Certified NRA Instructor in Basic Pistol, Firearms Safety, and Personal Protection In and Outside of the Home.
Jim's extensive resume in tactical training as a combat marine veteran, serving in Desert Storm; and with 8+ years with the United States Marine Corps; he developed his love of training and teaching others how to safely handle firearms.
With his years of experience as a MP in the MSANG, he takes his passion about firearms safety and self defense seriously. He is dedicated to providing knowledge on firearms safety and improving training for the private citizen.
Southern Firearms Training is based on the strong foundation of family values and faith. We believe in the safety and education of family involvement and participation. We offer a 15% discount per course for families of 3 or more. (ages 21+)
